Notes on DXBackdate, 22-OCT-99

Please note: DirectX 7 replaces some Win 98 system files which will be left unaltered by earlier DX versions. If you use DXBackdate to force a reinstallation of DX 7, this isn't a problem. For a real backdate (i.e. installation of DX 6 over DX 7) you will need a Win 98 installation CD (and roughly half an hour).

This version of DXBackdate hasn't been checked for Windows 2000 as this OS doesn't seem to work properly with anything earlier then the DX 7 files supplied.
