		myNews README

********************************************

What it does:

The program will try to download a RSS-feed and parse it as a
.my-file for viewing in myHTPC (www.myhtpc.net)

Installation:

Unzip the files to a folder of your choice, the myNews3.exe and
myNews.ini must reside in the same folder.

		Edit the ini-file:
		**************** THE INI FILE ******************

		[Default]
		myUrl=http://www.myhtpc.net/forum/rdf.php?c=20
		myUrl2=
		myUrl3=
		myUrl4=
		myUrl5=
		myUrl6=
		myUrl7=
		myUrl8=
		myUrl9=
		myUrl10=
		myFile=C:\program files\myHTPC\data\news\news.my

		************************************************

myUrl down to myUrl10 should contain the URL to the
RSS-feed you wish to download. You don't have to
enter 10 URL's, one will do.

myFile is where you want your .my file to end up.
		(i.e. C:\program files\myHTPC\data\news\news.my)

Now when you execute myNews3.exe (and everything
works as it should) it will create your .my file.

myHTPC Configuration:

Start "Configure myHTPC" and create a new media
module, use "single metadata file" and enter the path to
	your .my (i.e. C:\Program Files\myHTPC\data\News\news.my)

	DISPLAY TAB

	Initial Display mode = List
Initial details display mode = Information
When displaying files show = only chains
	Start playing automatically = checked
Pressing select in the main screen = show details screen

	PLAYER

I use the myHTPC_ExeMp.dll and point it to iexplorer.exe and
	"use associated application" = yes
by doing this you can open the associated link in a browserwindow.

And ohh it's written in visual basic, so maybe you need
the visual basic run-time files. Download from
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q192461

Well that should do it.
